HI! IM MEGAN SCHMELTZ
I am in the final stages of completing my advanced diploma in Graphic Design at Fanshawe College. I was born and raised in small towns all across southwestern Ontario and this is where I believe I get a lot of my design style from.
Outside of course projects at Fanshawe, I have done some freelance work for a local western/rodeo clothing company designing some new clothing patterns that were released in the fall of 2023, and some new designs for their 2024 seasonal launch.
My particular skill set and areas of interest in graphic design are in branding, advertising, publication and web design. I strive for perfection, and pay attention to detail, follow aesthetic and have a niche for what catches the publics eye and draws in a crowd. I often take a modern, simplistic and more minimalistic approach to design - I believe that usually less is more. I am efficient in using most Adobe software with an emphasis on InDesign and Illustrator.
Ideally, i’d love to continue on into the agricultural and equine design world, and work with businesses in these industries. I’d love to expand my knowledge into photography/videography as well, as these skills can be really beneficial in graphic design as well.
